Ask the system — try “jade hex”⌘K

Warm. Editorial. Generous. Confident.

Closer to the New Yorker than to Salesforce — big serif headlines for moments that matter, calm sans body for everything else, real numbers in monospace, opinionated copy that says what it means. Cadence stands alone.

The green study

Jade won. Kept for the record.

Each candidate did real work — commit button, live chip, coverage bar — and jade held up everywhere: calm enough for a resting surface, alive enough for a live one. An evergreen, not a go-button.

Jade · selected
#2F8F68

Deep and calm, but clearly alive. Commits, live states, focus rings, the wordmark's bar.

Legacy green · retired
#209F5B

The inherited green — brighter, cooler, reads “go-button.” Retired across every surface.

Spruce · runner-up
#2E6749

Deeper and quieter, but it disappeared on dark surfaces where jade stays legible.

Imagery

Real and warm.

Venues, plated food, people mid-shift. Never stock handshakes, never illustration, never AI-generated faces. Photography sits in 16:9 at radius 10, and placeholders are dashed stone on tint.

Do
  • People mid-shift, hands working, real venues at working hours.
  • Warm, available light; the palette's paper and ink should feel at home.
  • Name real people when the photo carries an outcome (“J. Okafor, Friday banquet”).
Don't
  • No stock handshakes, boardrooms, or pointing-at-laptops.
  • No illustration systems, mascots, or 3-D blobs.
  • No AI-generated faces — ever. The workforce is real; the imagery is too.
